Our Story
Plumb4U was established 20 years ago – formed in 2001 by Clive Holt an ex City software engineer who gave up the commute and formed his own Plumbing company. Clive had always been practical an engineer at heart since the days when he was interviewed by Janet Street Porter aged 14 for setting up the Acorn Atom user group. His dad was an engineer for Wall’s in Southall and he used to help him in the factory in the school holidays and he went on to study Electronics at Kingston University before going on to work in the City for 10 years.
Ever the entrepreneurs, he and his wife Donna had started up a property company in 1997 acquiring buy to lets in Surbiton before many people jumped into the property scene and as a result Clive had a wide range of plumbing experience from doing up various properties as part of that business. It seemed like a natural progression to set up his own plumbing company and from this experience Plumb4U was born.
